KNOW THE PROCESS

Useful things to know before you order.

How embroidery works

Artwork is converted into a stitch file that tells the machine the direction, density, sequence, and thread color for every part of the design. The garment is stabilized, hooped, stitched, and finished by hand.

Digitizing matters

Embroidery files are engineered rather than simply converted. Good digitizing helps lettering stay readable, shapes remain clean, and the finished logo sit smoothly on the selected fabric.

Choosing the right item

Polos, caps, jackets, bags, fleece, and workwear are excellent choices. Fabric weight, stretch, seams, and available hooping space all affect the best size and placement.

Designing for thread

Strong shapes and clear lettering work best. Very fine details, tiny text, gradients, and distressed textures may need to be simplified so the stitched result stays crisp.

ARTWORK CHECKLIST

Help us produce the best result.

  • Vector AI, EPS, SVG, or print-ready PDF artwork gives us the cleanest starting point.
  • A large, sharp PNG can also work when vector artwork is unavailable.
  • Small lettering and thin lines may need to be enlarged or simplified for thread.
  • We match thread colors as closely as practical and provide a proof or sewout for approval.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Keep it looking great.

  • Fasten zippers and turn garments inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent.
  • Avoid bleach and do not wring the embroidered area.
  • Air dry or tumble dry low; press from the reverse side if needed.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Embroidery FAQs.

What is digitizing?

Digitizing is the process of rebuilding artwork as stitch instructions. It controls stitch type, direction, density, sequence, and underlay.

How small can embroidered text be?

It depends on the font, fabric, and letter style. Bold, uncomplicated lettering remains readable at smaller sizes than thin or decorative type.

Can every logo be embroidered exactly as drawn?

Most logos can be adapted, but gradients and very fine detail may need thoughtful simplification to translate well into thread.

Can you embroider hats and bags?

Yes. Many structured and unstructured hats, bags, jackets, and accessories can be decorated when the area can be hooped or framed safely.
